22:33 — After service, Autopilot goes to work

The quiet night, filled before you've noticed it.

Autopilot watches your book, finds the quietest night ahead, and offers held tables to consented regulars who are overdue against their own visiting rhythm. Not a blast. Not a mailing list. A handful of the right guests, one message each, every send logged with its reason.

Eightish Autopilot message log showing a fill cycle: matched guests, the discount offered, the reason for each send, and a randomised holdout

The real Autopilot log. Every message shows what it cost, which channel it went on, and the exact reasoning behind the send.

How a fill cycle works

1. It finds the gap

Autopilot reads the week ahead and picks the quietest night you allow filling — say, 28 covers booked with 12 unsold. It never touches a busy night.

2. It picks the guests

It matches guests who have consented, usually visit on that weekday, and are overdue against their own rhythm — someone who comes every Wednesday but hasn't been in 12 days. It can attach a discount when the night is quiet enough to justify one, and the discount carries onto the booking so the floor takes it off the bill automatically.

3. It proves the lift

One matched guest is always held out at random. If your holdouts book anyway, Autopilot wasn't needed — and your reports say so. Recovered covers are proved, not claimed.

Guardrails

You set the rules. It obeys them.

Monthly message caps per guest, cover thresholds before a discount is allowed, nights that are never filled, and a full audit trail. Autopilot sends on WhatsApp first with SMS fallback, and every guest can reply STOP once and never hear from it again.

Marketing messages cost pennies — around 4.58p on WhatsApp — so a filled table of three pays for roughly a decade of sends.

What most booking systems do instead

They organise the bookings you already have. Capacity management. Eightish is the only UK system whose core loop is demand generation — finding covers for a specific quiet night, tonight, from your own guest list rather than a marketplace that also lists your competitors.
